It’s official: We’ve completely sold out The Hiyu for tomorrow’s video shoot!
I have to say… I’m humbled. This is the biggest event I’ve ever arranged as the headliner and promoter, and I was genuinely worried we wouldn’t even get the minimum number required to sail. Fast forward just a couple weeks and now the boat is completely full. You are all amazing and I will do my best to make sure the trip is worth it!
Ticket-Swapping
If you have a ticket but can’t make it, or if you wanted a ticket but didn’t get one, join us in the Telegram group at avianinvasion.com/telegram and see what’s available. With this ticketing system, whomever has the QR code gets on the boat. So if you’re looking to unload a ticket, it’s as easy as sending the QR code to someone that wants one.
Last-Minute Info
- UPDATE ABOUT CHANGING SPACE AND STORAGE: Apparently the Hiyu now has the ability to curtain off one of the breezeways on deck. That means there will be a semi-private area for costume changing and luggage storage. HOWEVER… space will be very limited, so please minimize what you carry on board. This area will NOT be monitored, so please don’t leave anything valuable in the changing space.
- BOARDING: You will need to be at Lake Union Park near MOHAI between 6 and 7 pm with your ID and QR code ready. The boat departs at 7pm sharp!
- TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING: The Hiyu has information about the Lake Union Park boarding site at onthehiyu.com/directions-boarding/#lakeunion
- DRESS CODE: Once again, you’re encouraged to wear whatever best represents YOU. Avian Invasion merch is always appreciated, but not mandatory. 😉 Your only restrictions are that your attire has to be BAR LEGAL in the state of Washington and NOT something that will cause a YouTube video to be taken down. Other than that… T-shirt and shorts, fursuits, rave gear, latex, pup hoods, tuxedo and tie… whatever won’t give you heat stroke and won’t get you kicked out of a bar.
- PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO: Yes, you will be recorded at this event since that’s the entire point. However, you will be able to duck into the curtained-off changing area or one of the upstairs bars if you need to be off-camera. IF YOU WANT TO SHOOT VIDEO OR TAKE PHOTOS, please do! If you share them online, be sure to tag @avianinvasion (or @avianinvasion.com on Bluesky) so we can see what you got!
- FREE ALBUM: Once the album is officially released, emails will be sent to everyone who ordered tickets. So if someone grabbed a ticket on your behalf, they’ll need to share that with you when the time comes.
