It’s time to let you in on a little secret: I’m still working on a dance project.
Another secret: I’ve been holding off on a proper remix of THIS song until I practiced with a few others first. Hopefully I waited long enough.
Yet another secret: I’m working on dance music that I can actually re-create live on-stage at conventions. My goal is to be able to perform during the dance block at a big con like Anthrocon, MWFF, or Furry Fiesta.
Yet even more secrets: One big reason I’m doing this is because Aaron and I are planning to move to Seattle in 2017 if possible. Which means I won’t be able to rehearse with Runtt any more. So I have to work on some things I can do alone.
Okay, now that THAT’S all out of the way…
This remix of A Cautionary Tail has been a long time coming. I know I re-did it once before , but that version kinda sucked. And this version is something I can actually perform live, with the ability to loop sections and alter the effects and other cool options.
But What About Piano Rock?
Here’s something you probably figured out by now: You, my loyal Officers, are always going to be one project ahead of the rest of the world. You get to hear what I’m working on before I announce anything to the rest of the Robot Army.
So I am indeed still working on the next piano rock album, Cognitive Dissonance, but that project’s in the marketing/fundraising phase now… the Officer’s Club is for sharing my creations as soon as they fall out of my head.
So you can expect a lot of dance and orchestral music in the coming months as I work on the Record Label Stuff™ for CogDis. But at the end of it, there’ll probably be a house or trance album ready to go!
