A New Song Is Coming…

I just posted a long blog at http://matthewebel.com/2015/10/07/the-skys-the-limit/ about the song I’m going to drop later today, but I wanted to give you guys my more detailed thoughts about it.

For starters, since I mostly heard nothing about the dance music tracks I released, I decided to shelve that project and focus on some piano rock. Not sci-fi piano rock, just something from the heart. And a little bit from the spleen.

I’ve been feeling trapped lately by who I thought I SHOULD be. It really sucks, too… the feeling that someone is disappointed in you, and that someone is your own damn self. I’m not usually the type to go all emo and start crying into the mic, but I’ve been feeling depressed because of this ominous presence in my mind.

Fortunately, music is therapy to me.

So for the past couple of weeks I’ve been arranging, rearranging, writing, rewriting, and I think I’m about ready to share this song with you. It’s called “Good Riddance”, and once I’ve tweaked the drums tracks a little bit more, I’ll post it here.
