A World of Rain

I know, I know… I just moved to Seattle and now I’ve got two new songs about rain. I promise, this won’t be a recurring trend.

But binge-watching Altered Carbon for the past week or two has etched the Blade-Runner-esque image of rain-soaked urban sprawl into my brain. Seriously, you should check the series out, it’s fooking amazing.

With this piece I didn’t really want to tell a story so much as create a texture. Well, a texture you can dance to anyway.

I’ve also started using some new production techniques– things I’ve learned from working with Oddy over the past months. I’m getting a MUCH better handle on level control and mixing-by-arrangement.
