I’ll let you know right up front: I’m not incredibly proud of this one.
Part of the “perks” of the Officer’s Club is that you get to hear my victories and failures… and while I wouldn’t call this one an outright failure as a song, it didn’t go where I’d hoped it would.
I tried experimenting with some more traditional trancey sounds and, while I learned more about the production process, this one just wasn’t doing anything for me as a songwriter.
All artists reach a point where the thing they’re working on just… ain’t getting any better. Change this, delete that, tweak this here and… well… shit. It’s still not lighting a fire.
Maybe I’m just too self-critical, I don’t know.
But it’s time for me to move on to something new.
