Good Riddance (Two-Man Version)
Writing music is hard enough, but then you have to get your ass on stage and reproduce it. When you’re writing songs with 4 guitar parts, multiple vocals, and a complex piano rhythm, often that’s easier said than done.
To give you an idea of how a song like Good Riddance evolves from a studio piece to something I could actually perform, here’s a quick mix that I call the Two-Man version.
Everything you’re hearing can be reproduced live with one keyboard, one drum kit, and no pre-recorded loops. The piano, bass, and glockenspiel are all the same single, live take that I arranged for live performance of this song.
Tell me what you think!
