I Know You’re There – Officer’s Club Edition
Back in 2005, I didn’t even use a real drummer for this track. I played the guitar parts on a sub-$200 acoustic roundback that I ran through Garageband’s amp simulator.
In other words, this song needed a lot of love.
Runtt (and his fantastic Star Classic kit) gave this song the authenticity it really lacked with my fake-ass keyboard drumming all these years. I also re-recorded all of the guitar parts with a Jackson electric guitar loaned to me by a friend.
Man, I need to play the guitar more…
In any case, I hope the re-creation of this one stays true to its original feel… and takes it to a level it should have enjoyed a decade ago.
