It finally happened, and I wanted you to be the first to know about it.
Well, okay, that’s a lie… my parents were the first to know about it. And then my boyfriend’s parents. But… you know what I mean.
I’ve mentioned our goal of moving to Seattle before, but my man just accepted a job offer that begins sometime in mid-November. It’s finally happening. This is an exciting time.
Fortunately, I fly to all my gigs anyway… so concert plans really aren’t affected all that much. New songs and book sections, though, may drop off a little bit over the next couple months. I’ll still be sending out live recordings from FursonaCon and Furpocalypse, but who knows what I’ll have time for as we pack literally everything.
And yeah, Runtt and I won’t be able to rehearse together any more… but he’s got his own local prog-rock band and he’s a regular addition to other Furry artists like FoxAmoore and Pepper Coyote now… which is quite fantastic if you ask me.
Things To Look Forward To
Moving— even if it were just down the block —means I’ll finally have a proper project studio again. The Composition Lab won’t be nearly as cramped or ill-fit for engineering.
Part of my efforts over the last few months has been approaching dance venues/festivals in the Pacific Northwest. As much as I love playing conventions, I really need to step up my game with the normal people.
Gotta evangelize the weirdness to the normies, and they don’t show up at cons.
But what about the Beer Bash? Right now… I have no idea. The initial plan was to hold it in mid-November and announce it sometime in October… but now that’s been thrown for a loop. I’m open to suggestions from people that actually want to party at my place…
Focus
Once things get settled… music will resume. Probably at a breakneck pace. I’ve been more productive this year than I have for the last five, and I think it’s because for the first time in nearly a decade I’m focused on a goal.
And that goal, as always, is adventure.
