This one was one of my favorite chapters to write, honestly. It may get a little philosophically thick in the middle, but the imagery was always so clear in my head as I wrote it. That and picturing Stallone as some kind of post-apocalyptic prophet without turning the chapter into comic relief was a challenge in itself.

Whether it’s a vibrant little bird cozying up to a cold feeder or the cool relief of rain after a heatwave, this life provides us with beats to catch our breath. In these moments we find our inspirations and hopes still thriving, despite the harsh conditions. Remember that there is always another moment like this waiting just around the corner.
